A lengthy cover story that consumes much of tomorrow’s edition of Miami New Times accuses Teele of being involved with drug traffic, bribery, extortion and sex with multiple mistresses and male prostitutes.

I’m seeing headlines all around the web saying stuff like “Shuttle Blasts Off in Blaze of Glory.” Shouldn’t those headlines say something like “Shuttle Blasts Off and Doesn’t Explode for Once; Everyone Surprised”? I wouldn’t say there was any glory involved this time around, more like un-disappointment.

Update: Come to think of it, I’m sure their experiments this time around will justify the insane costs and risks of the mission. For instance, their experiments “making balloon animals in space” (which studies the effects of gravity upon balloons, and balloons shaped into animals) and “eating a ham sandwich in space” (which studies the effects of gravity upon ham and mayo) are both sure to result in exciting scientific discoveries.

This book sucked. The anecdotes were more interesting than the research, and way too much space on the page was devoted to praising the “brilliant” author. Fuck. that.

I want to see Karl Rove drawn and quartered but for some reason my bloodlust has really trailed off after reading the emails and whatnot. Another Bush admin screw up that will ultimately not make a dent in the annals anus of history. I’m in that last stage of grieving Coco. That last stage is the one where you senselessly replace the missing thing with a facsimile in the hopes that everything will proceed as they would have otherwise and life will return to normal. Tentatively named Molly, this is my new daughter: a chocolate and rust Miniature Pinscher. So far she’s great, except the thing she does where she leaves long, rope-like wet turds everywhere.
